Heavenly Hayley

Why oh why didn't we get a swimming coach before? After a quick appraisal Hayley gave me and H 3 key points to focus on:

1 - bend our arms as we pull our arms back through the water.
2 - elbow above hand the entire stroke and a flat hand entering the water between sholder and eye.
3 - pull right through and engage the triceps.

Hayley is going to email us these tips, but a little more refined, and a programme for us to follow.

  1. Great session mate. Cant believe that you're going to be better than me in the water!! Looks like the race will be on during the bikes and then there's the run!!!! Looking forward to weekly sessions if Hayley and you are happy. We need to source some underwater video analysis.

  2. It'll come down to the run, I've got you on the bike ;-)

    Feeling much more positive about the swim but don't worry, we've got months to improve our techniques, you'll be flying in no time.

    Do you think an iphone in a carrier bag will work for underwater analysis??

  3. Ahhhh, the 'healthy' competition begins!! It'll be pistols at dawn come race day though!! Loving it!
